- To administer policies and procedures relating to all phases of Human Resources responsibilities.
- To build and maintain a strong working relationship with Executive Offices staff.
- To perform assigned duties in conformity with the Constitution and policies of Delta Gamma Fraternity and Foundation.
Essential Functions:

Leadership & Strategy
- Interpret employment policies and methods of administration and recommend appropriate courses of action to managers.
- Manage ERISA and Premium Only Plan (POP) compliance and reporting.
- Contribute to preparing a proposed budget of human resources
- Work with the general counsel to identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensuring policies, procedures and reporting are compliant.
- Process all unemployment claims and represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
- Retain records of new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations as well as employee statistics for government reporting.
Talent Planning & Acquisition- Conduct new employee orientation to foster alignment with Executive Offices’ staff mission and core values.
- Partner with hiring managers to update job descriptions, recruit, interview and select employees to fill vacant and new positions.
- Conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Assist with employees’ allocations of time.
Learning & Development- Maintain staff job descriptions and assist managers in balancing employees’ workloads and maximizing their strengths.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to process challenges in the workplace while preparing staff to have productive internal conversations.
Total Rewards- Oversee and approve semi-monthly payroll submission for Fraternity, Foundation, Office of Housing and LLC employees.
- Analyzes benefit plans and makes recommendations for coverage and/or cost improvement.
- Keep records of benefits plan participation such as insurance and 401(k), personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Serves as Plan Administrator and liaison (including record keeping) for all formal benefits programs including but not limited to: life, short term disability, long term disability, health, dental, vision, Hospitalization, and 401(k). Provide updates and make recommendations, as appropriate.
Employee Relations & Engagement- Develop and administer performance reviews to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization.
- Implement and maintain employee handbook.
- Advise management in, and facilitate appropriate resolution of, employee relations issues.
- Manage corrective action process.
- Drive regular updates to the employee handbook and other employee resources.
- Analyze and evaluate strategies to promote diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Respond to manager, employee and volunteer inquiries regarding employee and volunteer policies, procedures and programs.
- Process job related injury and disease reports and associated Workers’ Compensation claims and programs. When necessary, represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
- Act as liaison between Team Leaders and Staff Matters committee.
- Perform additional responsibilities as determined by Executive Director.
Qualifications:- Demonstrated commitment to creating inclusive environments where belonging is valued
- A bachelor’s degree and two to five years’ relevant experience, or a master’s degree in human resource management and two years’ experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Experience in working with supervisors, managers and employees, assisting them in resolving employee relations, benefits and personnel administrative issues helpful.
- Competency handling difficult and sensitive conversations with staff.
- Experience with compensation programs, benefits administration, and employee onboarding helpful.
- Experience in working with volunteers a plus.
- Proactive, self-directed, and able to independently solve problems.
- Certification by SHRM or HRCI a plus.
