Aurora Mental Health Center (AuMHC) is seeking a Director to lead our Learning and Development team. Working with leaders and employees across the Center, this hands-on leader will drive the development and implementation of key learning and development solutions in support of our strategic initiatives. This leader will have demonstrated excellent leadership, change management, and consulting skills. This leader will plan, execute, follow-through and measure training/internal education for the organization. Learning initiatives focus on Electronic Health Record and other applications, business processes, customer service, clinical skill development, and leadership development.

The Learning and Development team provides support to Center employees that mirrors the values and mission of the Center: providing passionate caring, honoring and respecting our staff, and building policies and programs to support the growth and development of our employees and organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Senior Leadership Accountabilities: Lead a team of managers or individual contributors. Ensure that managers provide focus and direction to their respective teams. Fosters the development of leaders and creates a culture of accountability. Develop goals, strategic plans, company policies, and make decisions on the direction of the organization. Mobilize and influence external stakeholders and outside resources. Effectively communicate sr. leadership decisions and organizational strategy and plans to managers. Also, share key external updates with the team. Set performance indicators.
  • Create an annual training plan with quarterly goals and deliverables.
  • Ensure that the annual training plan is carried out through a variety of training platforms; provides regular reports.
  • Work closely with Quality Director and Analytics Director to identify areas of need, structure training to meet identified needs, and tracks progress.
  • Lead the Clinical Training Committee.
  • Participate in leadership-level planning efforts to ensure that the training plan is aligned with overall organization strategy, initiatives, and vision.
  • Work closely with the Quality team to ensure our training meets with standards and regulations.
  • Develop a clinical training calendar for the center and assist with coordination and tracking of topics.
  • Ensure that EHR training for new hires and for teams follows sound instructional design principles, and is relevant and up to date.
  • Promote a positive culture of quality improvement and standardized documentation among all staff.
  • Develop and deliver competency-based tailored curricula and training.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Preferred: Masters Degree in a related field.
  • Five years of training or adult learning capacity.
  • Three years experience managing direct reports
  • Advanced experience working within an LMS platform


Required Vaccinations and TB Test.

AuMHC has prioritized the health and safety of our clients and staff and requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, receive an annual influenza (flu) shot, and receive negative TB test results prior to their first day of hire. Proof of both vaccinations and negative TB test will be required upon your first day of employment. Medical and religious exemptions may be requested for either COVID 19 vaccine or annual flu shot.


Salary for this role.

Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Salary is also based on experience and company equity.

  • $63,746.26 – $118,385.90 per year.
