This is an exciting and fulfilling opportunity with Zachry Group’s Market Insight Team. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to perform the functions of a DIRECTOR OF MARKET INSIGHTS, As part of the marketing intelligence department of Zachry Group, the Director, Market Insights position supports both short-term as well as long-term strategic planning and execution activities. This role provides actionable recommendations based on market analysis and coordinates activities across the organization to further enhance the customer experience.


What you’ll do as a DIRECTOR OF MARKET INSIGHTS:

  • Leads team of Market Analysts, ensuring proper focus to support the broader organization’s needs.
  • Identifies and collects appropriate market, financial and/or operational data.
  • Leads team efforts in financial, qualitative and/or scenario modeling.
  • Analyzes and determines appropriate syndicated data sources and manages data service provider relationships.
  • Identifies gaps and areas of opportunity to further enhance research activities.
  • Creates and updates comprehensive competitor and customer models including market share, growth projections and trends, and market forces.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of various data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential usage.
  • Ensures a detailed understanding of customer, competitor, and industry activities through reading reports, market research, and data analysis.
  • Translates and summarizes data and findings into executable and effective reports for senior leadership and other key internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifies how data meaningfully translates into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborates with Market Intelligence peers to ensure insights and data are shared with appropriate groups and individuals in the most effective ways.

Develops and maintains relationships with key internal customers to help uncover emerging needs and business challenges




Job Requirements:


Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience (market intelligence, strategy consulting, financial planning, quantitative data analysis or similar fields).
  • Minimum of 5 years managerial experience.
  • Demonstrated strength in problem solving.
  • Self-starter that can prioritize, focus, and execute through obstacles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Proven track record in working with syndicated data sources.
  • Strong customer focus and organizational skills.
  • Innovate thinker with analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects or efforts simultaneously.
  • Exhibits a solid understanding of industry.
  • Able to operate within a team environment.
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite and CRM solutions.
  • Confidentiality is critical to success.
  • Full and ongoing compliance with and adherence to all vaccination requirements, as may be established by the company from time to time or by or for a particular job site.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.

Reporting Matrix

The Director, Market Insights will report to the Senior Director of Market Intelligence.

What you can expect the physical demands to be?

Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.


What will the work environment be like?

Work will be in a professional/”buttoned up” corporate office environment operating and functioning at a fast pace. Working out of a contemporary office spaces with an open layout. Our corporate campus includes an on-site café with various daily breakfast, lunch and snack-time selections, a sizeable fitness center equipped with various state of the art work out equipment & weights, outdoor walking/jogging-path, herb garden, basketball half-court, sand-volley ball court, soccer field, as well as a clinic with a certified nurse practitioner. Office noise will be low and generally consist of neighbors’ phone-calls, conversations and/or laughter. You can expect people to treat you with friendliness and respect throughout the Zachry campus.
