Our guests’ memorable experiences must start somewhere. So why not with you? We’re looking for a new Director of Outlets to direct the food and beverage outlets of the hotel to ensure the achievement of established food and beverage quality and guest service quality standards.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
- Manage financial metric related to outlets including labor management tools, expenses, and other project related expenses.
- Recommend and/or initiate disciplinary or other staffing/human resources-related actions in accordance with company rules and policies. Alert management of potentially serious issues.
- Ensure all staff is properly trained and certified if applicable and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include Sales and Marketing, Catering, Banquets, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Guest Services.
- Manage and maintain a robust training program designed to improve and retain a robust outlets workforce.
- Supervise directly and support direct reports in supervising day-to-day shift activities of Vistal Bar and Restaurant, Garibaldi Italian Speakeasy, Layover Bar, Room Service, Mini-Bar, and Starbucks.
- Schedule employees to ensure proper shift coverage. Assist in communicating and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Prioritize guest service throughout outlets. Maintain appropriate service recovery guidelines to ensure total guest satisfaction.
- Beverage knowledge and certification related to wine, beer, spirits preferred, but not required.
- Ensure that all F&B equipment (coffee and soda machines, registers, etc.) is in proper operational condition and is cleaned on a regular basis. Ensure that all facilities are cleaned, vacuumed, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volumes. Notify Engineering immediately of any maintenance and repair needs.
- Assist in maintaining and enforcing procedures to (1) ensure the security and proper storage of F&B inventory, and equipment, (2) ensure the security of monies, credit and financial transactions, (3) replenish supplies, inventory, uniforms, etc. in a timely and efficient manner, and (4) to minimize waste and control costs.
- Assist in monitoring performance of all outlets through analysis of guest feedback and financial results. Make recommendations for corrective action as needed.
What we need from you:
High school diploma or equivalent and one-year supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant or similar setting. Hospitality Management Degree or some college preferred. Must speak fluent English.
What you can expect from us:
The annual pay range for this role is $100k-$115k a year. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at InterContinental San Diego. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
