About the Role:
Kard is hiring a Director of Partnerships to deepen our partnership strategy, manage key relationships, and source new opportunities. This role will focus on driving and maintaining Kard's external relationships across the loyalty space on both the card issuer and merchant sides of our business. This is a unique opportunity to build Kard's partnerships strategy from the ground up, optimize revenue performance, and create a sustainable 3rd party ecosystem that grows with us while we scale.
You'll be responsible for:
- Sourcing, negotiating, and managing key strategic partnerships, including but not limited to, affiliate, distribution, and BaaS relationships
- Working directly with management, sales, engineering, and product to ensure our partner ecosystem is helping to drive success for both merchant and issuer customers
- Identifying new product partnerships that can drive revenue, card engagement, and value to our customers
- Sizing partnership opportunities, completing due diligence, and quantifying business impact to support Kard's rapid revenue growth
- Wearing many hats to support the issuer and merchant sides of our marketplace and lead strategic projects to support revenue growth and margin expansion
- Collaborate cross-functionally to launch new products (e.g., account loyalty, bitcoin, crypto, stock)
You'll have:
- 7+ years of experience in either consulting, business development, partnerships, or strategy in relevant roles
- An understanding of the loyalty and payments ecosystem, with a highly collaborative mindset and hands on mentality
- Experience collaborating with product teams to bring new innovations to market quickly in a "test and learn" environment
- An innate ability to prioritize, manage, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously, against aggressive timelines
- Comfort with the unknown: with an ever-changing product roadmap, you will need to manage partner expectations while helping drive the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders as we build a world-class platform
- An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to drive results autonomously in a hyper-growth and white space environment
Bonus points:
- Experience with B2B technology platforms and/or APIs, particularly within the fintech ecosystem
- Early-stage startup experience
Base salary range is $130-160k, depending on experience
