Renovation Brands is looking for a Director of Performance Marketing to lead our Digital Marketing team. Reporting to the Vice President - Ecommerce and working closely with the Brand Marketing and Digital Product teams, this role is pivotal within the company to help us achieve our growth ambitions as we scale. This is both a strategic and hands on position with responsibility for all performance marketing across markets and brands. This position will cover all brands within the Renovation Brands portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Define performance growth and develop strategy to deliver growth from paid channels including Paid Search, Paid Social, & Marketing Automation while also testing new media formats/channels.
- Grow and improve paid social as a core performance channel with focus on new customer acquisition while achieving efficiency and profitability targets at scale.
- Manage and drive campaign strategies across Facebook/Instagram, Pinterest and other platforms seeking continuous improvement of day-to-day performance and reporting.
- Own development of budget, forecasting and tracking framework to measure against target KPIs and optimizing full funnel approach.
- Partner with creative to create data-driven, ‘always on’ testing program across copy and visuals to maximize paid channel performance. Strong data background required across levers to drive accelerated growth across KPIs.
- Develops, tests, and executes integrated marketing campaigns, acquisition models, content, and messaging to reach & resonate with our audience in ways that are efficient, innovative, and drive an emotional connection with the brand.
- Determine the skills, investments, and structural shifts that are needed to set an aggressive trajectory for growth over our long-range planning time horizon.
- Partners with Digital Product team and UX to ensure full journeys are optimized and measured, with a mindset toward standards in tagging, testing (build, measure, learn culture).
- Understanding of the customer journey and conversion funnel to drive insights into marketing strategies that can improve conversion rates and drive improved ROI and CAC.
- Communicating Performance Marketing KPIs to Leadership on a weekly/monthly basis. Describing trends, challenges, and action items in each business.
- As needed consultation to maximize digital marketing best practices and critical insights across business areas outside of DTC.
- Working knowledge of Affiliate Marketing and SEM.
Required Skills:
- 5-7+ years performance marketing experience managing >$2M media budget.
- Strong knowledge of paid media channels and industry trends, especially Facebook, IG and Search (Google/Bing).
- Demonstrated experience with tactical campaign development to drive customer acquisition and engagement, including targeting and ad copy creation, audience segmentation, landing page optimization, budget allocation, and KPI optimization and reporting.
- Top notch communicator with the ability to derive insights from data and tell a story.
- Ability to balance living deep in the details while also being able to create and communicate higher level strategy.
- Experience in-house at an ecommerce company as well as working with agencies and contractors.
- Highly analytical and data driven.
- Strong technical knowledge of the latest digital marketing tools (e.g., Marketo, Qualtrics, Google Analytics, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics) and channels (email, social, influencer, SMS, affiliate).
- Well versed with tag management platforms (eg. Tealium, Google Tag Manager) and implementing event tracking.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills, strong attention to detail.
- Ability to innovate but also follow up with execution.
- Test -> iterate -> scale is approach to managing performance portfolio.
- Strong work ethic, personal accountability, ownership.
