SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to recruit qualified physician / providers for Aunt Martha’s Community Health Centers and assist and coordinate the development of strategic and comprehensive physician / provider recruitment plans in accordance with the needs and goals of the Health Division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Develop effective recruitment strategies/campaigns for recruitment of physician / providers in the specialties areas of Family Practice (adult & children), Oral Health, Behavioral Health, Family Planning and OB/GYNE.
  • Maintain open and responsive communication between Human Resources Department, the Health Division and physician / provider candidates.
  • Establish and maintain appropriate relationships with external sourcing agencies, when necessary.
  • Conducts telephone screening and in-person interviews. Secures candidate’s application documents and initiates offers approved by the Chief Medical Officer.
  • Coordinate physician / provider meetings with key Health Leadership staff and tours of the health center facilities.
  • Must acquire a working knowledge of HRSA Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) requirements; including Federal Tort Claims ACT (FTCA), National Health Service Corp (NHSC) scholarships, State of Illinois scholarships, etc.
  • Maintain a database of all candidate information to include curriculum vitae, contact information, internal referrals and follow-up information.
  • Identify and evaluate trends on healthcare recruitment, including location conditions, economic conditions and competitive organizations to develop innovative strategic plans.
  • Serve as liaison with the physician / provider, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Legal Officer, Privileging & Credentialing Department, Vice President of Human Resources and Health Senior Leadership regarding contract and other issues.
  • Ensure that all physician / providers have up-to-date contracts.
  • Develop and distribute meaningful recruitment metrics for Health Senior Leadership.
  • Complete all Core Curriculum training(s) required for this position.
  • Perform all other duties and projects as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree and two to three years of previous physician / provider recruiting experience and/or training required.



OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current driver’s license
  • Current auto insurance
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends in order to connect with physician / provider candidates.
  • Ability to travel to all Aunt Martha’s community health center locations.
  • Excellent customer service, communication (interpersonal, written and presentation) and have the ability to assess, persuade and negotiate with candidates.
  • Ability to work independently and understand/carry out detailed instructions.
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of policies, procedures, Federal/State legislation as it impacts Employment Law and general HR Administration.
  • Strong analytical skills to design and maintain databases and the ability to work as a team player not only within recruiting, but among all areas
