Role Summary

The Director of Production is responsible for building relationships and streamlining production, ensuring that products are delivered on-time, on-budget, and on-strategy to meet or exceed client and user needs. You will be responsible for hiring, managing, and cultivating a team of world-class producers and building a culture of collaboration, teamwork, and humility. This individual must be a self-starter and feel comfortable working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional, leadership environment, demonstrating an open-mind and a drive to keep projects moving and improving. The ideal candidate enjoys working with other team members and stakeholders to identify and solve complex user & business challenges and can easily adapt within a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Role Requirements

• Build and oversee project management processes related to production timelines, resource tracking and allocation, budget tracking and forecasting, and project status tracking for both internal and external consumption
• Build solid relationships with clients, based on trust, to secure continued, long-term success and ensure client satisfaction
• Ability to negotiate with clients when an impasse arises in regard to project status
• Estimate and negotiate new contracts with existing or new clients with profitable budgets
• Review all legal documentation (including NDAs, SOWs, Licensing Agreements, etc.)
• Partner with business development through strategic analysis of existing relationships and outside opportunities.
• Responsible for identifying and addressing workforce headcount needs, including team assignments, hiring and successful on-boarding of new team members.
• Drive a strategy focused mindset across the company
• Drive processes around requirements definition and verification while anticipating client needs
• Develop product roadmaps to communicate the strategic direction to align key stakeholders
• Champion best practices for developing quality user stories, prioritizing tasks, and defining project scope
• Drive QA processes across the company to drive ownership of validating requirements, analyzing risks, and assuring quality on complex projects for high profile clients
• Partner with Codazen's Creative and Engineering heads to support our collaboration model at the leadership level, to plan, scope, quote and lead winning pitches
• Evangelize Codazen's vision, process, values, and services
• Oversee, manage, coach and develop production staff to ensure growth and develop the talent base
• Create healthy team culture that provides continuous feedback, support and empowerment. Set clear goals for yourself and your team and hold employees accountable for deliverables while recognizing and rewarding strong performance
• Evaluating current processes to determine where improvements can be made. Ensuring consistency amongst teams and unifying the production processes across the company. Rolling out process improvements in a way that minimizes disruptions.
• Coach senior management in agile practices to ensure adoption of best practices from top-down
• This role will be 100% onsite Monday through Friday based out of Irvine, CA.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years managing and growing a production team at a product company or interactive agency
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
• A proven history of successful digital delivery and account growth
• Ability to grow a collaborative Production team that will help support and complement our Creative and Engineering teams
• A deep understanding of creative and technology development processes
• Extensive experience in project management methodologies and software (ie. Jira/Confluence, Asana)
• You're an energetic, passionate leader with excellent written and oral communication skills
• You're a practitioner of Servant Leadership styles and know how to lead teams with humility and empathy
