Reporting to the President, the Director of Sales will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and responsible for driving WLI’s revenue growth by leading the sales team, identifying and developing new business opportunities and building and expanding the presence of the company and its brands. Job Responsibilities

The Director of Sales will lead the overall sales team as well as target new markets. Responsible for the oversight and development of regional managers, rep groups, an inside sales team, managing existing key accounts while prospecting new end users and distributors. To be successful as the Director of Sales, you should be driven, persuasive, analytical and have a strong business acumen. Ultimately the successful candidate will have demonstrated success in a sales leadership role and learned effective disciplines at a sales-oriented company.

The Director of Sales will possess:

  • Exceptional leader with a strong record of building and leading successful sales teams, preferably within the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) industry.
  • Experience selling through industrial distribution channels and interfacing directly with end users in manufacturing facilities.
  • Knowledge of PPE products, pricing, competition, and multiple channels of distribution. Experience with industrial hand and arm protection products (gloves and sleeves) a plus.
  • Ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies and initiatives, both short and long range, to drive profitable growth of company products in existing and new targeted markets.
  • Strong results orientation with a consistent focus on meeting and exceeding budgeted goals.
  • Team builder who possesses excellent interpersonal and collaborative communication skills .
  • High energy, problem solver who leads through influence and example vs. authority and title.
  • Works effectively and collaboratively across departments and functions (e.g., R&D, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Management, etc.) to achieve goals while building team morale.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong data analysis skills including advanced use of Salesforce CRM tools to manage commercial teams and customer opportunities. Comfortable working with spreadsheets.
  • Motivated and driven to WIN as a team in a highly competitive selling environment.
  • Responsible for developing, executing, and achieving sales growth plans and targets.
  • Develops unit and dollar sales forecasts and budgets by distributor and product.
  • Attends industry tradeshows, provides commercial support, manages team participation, drives lead generation, and assists with booth setup and breakdown.
  • Understands Voice of Customer and helps R&D identify, prioritize, and develop new products. Leads the commercial launch of new products and ensures that growth targets are achieved.
  • Experienced in selling technical solutions and value-add vs. low price.

Qualifications

  • 10 to 15 years of sales experience including 3 years in a sales leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Proven sales leadership experience and CRM
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Detail-oriented and persuasive

Travel

Domestic travel is required of this position

Travel requirements are 25% to 50%
