Under supervision of the SVP, the Director of Tenant Services oversees the operation of the Tenant Services Office(s). This department helps to provide safe, secure, and professionally managed tenant support and contributes to Acacia’s overall mission of preventing housing insecurity and empowering tenants by working to build community and to engender tenant interactions with building staff, the community, and peers. These goals are achieved through direct tenant contact, interaction with internal social services programming, and collaboration with local Community Organizations. The Director coordinates program planning organizes tenant participation in planned activities and workshops and provides community outreach as needed. The Director ensures quality care and oversees the functions of the program according to contracts, scopes of work, and regulators. Community outreach and building is a key component of bringing needed services to low income and senior communities. The Director provides supervision of all program services and works to develop, implement, track, report, and evaluate measurable outcomes. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. The salary range is $65-68K

KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • · Provide leadership, guidance, direction, and supervision to all staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables, targets, and benchmarks;
  • · Conduct needs assessments, and develop, implement, and oversee program content to support tenants' needs within the following areas: housing stabilization and homelessness prevention, financial literacy and management, access to service and community benefits, health and wellness education, socialization/isolation reduction, technology, etc.
  • o Ensure operations maintain Monthly Activities and Outreach Calendars
  • · Ensure person-centered and culturally sensitive services are administered to all tenants and documented accordingly in the tenant record (electronic health record and otherwise)
  • · Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the programs’ operations - service delivery, compliance with regulations and contracts, targets (employment, housing retention, benefits advocacy, recreational activities, maintenance advocacy, food referrals, etc.)
  • o Set and monitor realistic weekly and monthly performance goals in accordance with contract requirements with reporting staff;
  • o Ensure all program/services level reports are completed accurately and timely (dashboards, vouchers, databases, inventories, and supply orders, purchasing requisitions, overtime analysis etc.)
  • o Ensure that services are documented within 24 hours of service provision;
  • o Ensure staff adherence to daily and monthly reporting requirements;
  • · Responsible for the overall administration of the Tenant Services department in adherence with Policies & Procedures.
  • o Plan, interpret all policies and procedures for staff; ensure implementation of all policies and procedures
  • o Ensure adherence to all Federal, State, City and Acacia Network rules and regulations
  • · Connect with community leaders to build connections, gain support and resources, and troubleshoot issues/concerns
  • · Troubleshoot tenant and direct reporting staff program problems, and make decisions in accordance with program policies, procedures, and protocols
  • · Manage the staffing and performance, including but not limited to:
  • o Interview, hire, supervise, and set up training to program personnel to reach program goals; ensure staff vacancies are filled timely and do not remain vacant for >30 days.
  • o Conduct performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, resignations, and terminations
  • o Review and monitor monthly budget expenditures to ensure alignment with program budgets, ensure contract funding is managed and utilized appropriately throughout the budgetary year(s);
  • o Facilitate interdepartmental communication and conduct regular staff/departmental meetings
  • o Timekeeper for all reporting staff, including review and sign all time sheets, vacation approvals, etc.
  • o Organize onsite and offsite training opportunities for the professional development of staff
  • o Conduct and document one-on-one supervision of direct reporting staff to assess and improve work performance (i.e., identify training needs, professional development, etc.)
  • · Conduct regular electronic record review and implement Quality Assurance measures as needed to ensure quality service delivery to tenants.
  • · Other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • · Bachelor Degree in Human Services related field, required
  • · Master's degree, preferred
  • · Two (2+) years must be in a managerial position
  • · Experience working with low-income individuals and/or households
  • · Experience in staff training and development
  • · Strong leadership, excellent organizational and communication skills
  • · Ability to lead a strong team of professionals in a culturally diverse environment
  • · Ability to multitask and to work and function under pressure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
