Reporting directly to the President of Advanced Flow Solutions (AFS), the Director of Quality Assurance & Quality Control is responsible for planning and directing the quality improvement activities for AFS. The Quality Director will develop, implement, and manage the AFS Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure a best-in-class quality culture and discipline throughout the organization. The role will own, influence and help establish processes from order to cash and implement a lean manufacturing culture in the manufacturing plant.
Duties will include:

Implement and maintain total quality policies, programs and initiatives that improve the quality of the organizational processes, product and services
-
Drive lean manufacturing efforts in operations such as Kanban, Kaizen and pull systems to improve OTD, reduce cycle times and reduce COPQ

Ensures that internal quality defects (PPM, FPY, etc.) are being captured and performs routine trend analysis eliminate future defects

Establish a standard root cause analysis methodology and roll it out across the organization in an effort to standardize the process to ensure all customer complaints and internal quality issues are solved at the root of the problem

Establish standard work and a process to optimize performance based on critical quality KPIs at the AFS level and throughout manufacturing

Engages, supports and provides mentorship for effective execution & skills development of powerful protocols & tools such as 8D Methodology, Compliance Procedures, Change Control Board, FMEA, Manufacturing Quality Standards (MQS) and Flawless Launch Phase Gate Reviews

Provides leadership and support for compliance readiness to various customer, regulatory standards and certifications (i.e ISO9001, TS-16949)

Monitors customer satisfaction using related indicators (customer PPM, Customer complaints, etc.) and defines reaction plans and/or improvement strategies

Responsible for the design, deployment & support of AFSs Quality Management System & related processes such as Customer Satisfaction Surveys, Monthly Operations Reviews, Quality Excursion Reporting

Establish a culture of SQCDI visual management boards that incorporate into daily stand downs to make site aware of performance KPIs utilizing visual boards or monitors in facility

Drive a zero-defect quality culture across the organization

Manage the corrective and preventative action program; Manage the RMA and warranty process
Required Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or Related Discipline required
-
10+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment driving operational quality improvements
-
10+ years experience leading a robust quality organization that consist of QMS specialists, PQEs, SQEs, QE and Inspectors

Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement methods, approaches, and tools, including strategic planning and project management

Experience in Lean Six Sigma with at least a GB certification required

Complete knowledge of ISO 9001, TS-16949 is strongly preferred
-
Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
