Job description

  • Interacts with senior management, sales teams, marketing department, plant managers, customers, dealers, builders, distributers and design influences daily. Maintains a consultative selling standard of practice and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and channel partners. Works with fellow colleagues to develop a results-oriented, team environment that is focused on success and Company goals.
  • Works to drive the attainment of sales, profitability and corporate objectives within functional scope
  • Drive national sales attainment through recognized market channels consistent with Company’s strategies.
  • Work with Marketing Manager to match marketing programs with sales outreach.
  • Manage and execute the overall sales process and establish reporting metrics that match attainment of Company goals.
  • Develop pricing policies and practices that achieve contribution margin and profitability goals (including discounts, rebates, terms, conditions, etc., that are appropriate for the market channels served).
  • Works closely with the VP, Sales Operations to insure a high level of success with targeted sales outreach programs and projects. Monitors reporting activities and acts to address sales challenges.
  • Coordinates activity with the VP, Sales Operations and the insides sales/business development function.
  • Execute outreach program for home center sales and those sales over the special order/contractor desk.
  • Execute and report on the rebate and customer incentive process.
  • Works with teams to develop equitable sales objectives and quotas that insure the Company’s financial objectives are exceeded. Design and distribute reports accordingly.
  • Plan and execute new product and service introductions. Recommend new products/services for R&D and introduction.
  • Works with sales leadership and HR on sales changes, sales development, delivery of training, etc.
  • Works with sales leadership to ensure that sales objectives and incentive programs are aligned.

Execute changes in sales assignments and deployment as appropriate and required

Experience

Required
  • 7 - 10 years: 7-10 years prior industry experience

Education

Preferred
  • Bachelors or better
