Position Summary

Positive and creative team player to take care of the "behind the scenes" support. Our stores are high-volume, high-energy bakeries, with a constant need of washing and cleaning equipment. Our Dishwashers not only wash, they are expected to help organize the ingredient inventory and maintain high cleanliness standards throughout the store.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Ensure a supply of clean baking sheets, tools, and mixing bowls during the retail hours
• Conduct periodic sweeps and mopping of floors as needed during retail hours
• Empty trash and manage cleaning supplies during retail hours
• Clean and sweep under equipment after closing (night shift)
• Clean floor with electric mop (we will train you)
• Keep dishwashing area and back-of-house organized and clean
• Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, and providing exceptional customer service
• Cleaning and restocking the workstation and ensuring all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
• Perform other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Experience as a dishwasher or cleaning technician in restaurant or similar venue
• Able to exchange non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate
• Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills
• Willingness to work independently or with other team members to solve problems, plan schedules, fulfill orders, and create excellent baked goods.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work around customer demands, including early morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability.

Wage is $15 an hour

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
