District Property Manager – Commercial

Come join the Weigand-Omega Team for this exciting opportunity. We are looking to add a District Property Manager with our Commercial team in our Wichita, Kansas office. The District Manager for commercial properties is charged with the day-to-day implementation of the policies, procedures, and programs that will assure professionally managed, well-maintained buildings; in addition to placing maximum emphasis on positive responses to the concerns and needs of the tenants, environmental health and safety, and quality control programs. The District Manager’s goal is to maximize the income and control the expenses at each property within the DM’s assigned medium to large sized management portfolio, and to operate each property according to the goals established by the ownership entity and according to Weigand-Omega policy. The District Manager shall exercise discretion within company guidelines in dealing with a wide variety of situations (i.e., promoting increased rental revenue, servicing tenants’ needs, collecting rents and fees, inspecting, and maintaining the property, etc.)

Knowledge, Abilities and Other Qualities

· The capability to work at a fast pace and with multiple tasks, perform duties while under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner, interact/communicate with other employees, tenants, vendors, owners, and the public in a professional and pleasant manner required

· Must have good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to compose grammatically correct correspondence with legible penmanship and/or accurate typing skills required

· Computer literacy and proficiency in programs like MS Word and MS Excel required

· The ability to correctly deal with lease documents, fill out paperwork, and keep accurate records required

· The ability to compute rental amounts, prorates, discounts, percentages, bank deposits, and intermediate to advanced math computations required

· Must have good customer service skills, a professional phone manner, an outgoing personality, and the ability to successfully interact with all types of people required

· Supervisory skills in order to direct, lead, train and resolve employee disputes required

· The self-motivation to set and accomplish goals personally and for the company required

· Performs any other necessary duties that contribute to the success of Weigand Omega, as needed

Experience Training and Education

· High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree is preferred

· Must have a minimum of four years of experience in management, and at least four years of prior commercial management experience is preferred

· Must have or obtain within 6 months of hire a Kansas Real Estate salespersons license

· Hold a professional designation from BOMA, IREM, ICSC, IFMA or begin taking courses toward a professional designation Weigand-Omega provides a competitive salary and comprehensive Total Rewards package including health, vision, dental, 401K and more.
