The Community Development Department is comprised of six divisions: Customer Service One Stop Shop, Planning, Engineering, Building Safety, Aquifer Protection, and Code Compliance. The objective for the Community Development Department's is to guide the development of the County through effective measures of planning, design review, construction plan approval, code compliance, and environmental health to preserve and enhance the quality of life for the residents of Pinal County.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide document scanning, processing, and support services to Pinal County Staff and resolve questions within the scope of authority and training, and assist departments in their day-to-day tasks by providing them with the ability to digitize their documents where they are easily accessible through an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) under basic supervision.

TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Perform document scanning, processing, and support services to Pinal County Staff.
  • Prep documents, scan document image and convert to a digital format, and index documents for quality control.
  • Manipulate images as needed, including resizing, compressing, cropping, and large format documents and save documents to portable/removable digital media.
  • Perform quality checks for scanned documents, maintain work logs, and deliver documents and digital media.
  • Provide training services for users new to OnBase.
  • Create and maintain training guides for county-wide usage in web-based and scanning systems.
  • Work closely with administrators when testing new versions of OnBase for possible upgrades, work with vendors to find solutions to issues that arise in the department, and serve as reference point for departments when dealing with scanning services.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One (1) year of customer service and computer experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid Arizona State Driver's License.

Supplemental Information

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of imaging production equipment, techniques, and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of basic record keeping practices and customer service standards and protocols.
  • Skill in operating and maintaining a variety of imaging and media equipment safely and competently.
  • Skill in operating computer systems and basic software applications.
  • Ability to provide effective customer service and deal tactfully and courteously with the public.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is light and requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. The work also requires the ability to finger, grasp, handle, reach, perform repetitive motion, speak, hear, stand, stoop, and demonstrate visual and mental acuity.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a relatively safe, secure, and stable work environment.
