We are seeking an innovative leader for our resilient operations programs leveraging diverse transports (GEO/LEO/5G) and software technologies. Candidate will be energetic, creative and team oriented to co-evolve the technical approach with state-of-the-art management, software defined networking and automated operations covering fault, performance, configuration, accounting and security. This involves the selection and use of leading tools for network management and security operations for government customers. The individual will join a team responsible for designing, configuring, installing and operating a modern telecom system with edge cloud and AI/ML capabilities. The position is based in Gaithersburg, Maryland.


Responsibilities:

• Provide network design, operations, and end-user support leadership
• Guide team in selection and configuration of management and security operations tools.
• Set up workflow and call management service for network assurance and for troubleshooting, and resolving network issues
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers program management in a timely and effective manner
• Work across teams on the development and maintenance of network infrastructure
• Train junior staff and on-site field technicians with remote technical support

Basic Requirements:

• MS in engineering related discipline
• Must be able to obtain and hold a US government security clearance.
• 15+ years of experience in designing and operating complex technical projects that include networking devices and software components including the following:
  
  • Demonstrated experience in setting up and operating management centers
  • Demonstrated experience with network and security operations for GEO, LEO, IT, or 4G/5G systems
  • Understanding and ability to program/configure telecom and end user devices
  • Experience writing technical documents for customers including proposals
  • Good understanding of Linux (Cent OS or related flavor) and installation of packages
  • Good knowledge of computer networking principles with Ethernet and IPv4, v6, TCP/IP, OSPF
  • Exposure to DevSecOps and Kubernetes, Containers understanding and use
• Ability to travel 25-30%
