Draftsman Tooling Technician
Job description
Primary Duties
- Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
- Create and maintain detail, assembly and tooling drawings using SolidWorks.
- Create 3D models, and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Performing calculations for materials and weight limitation.
- Communicate effectively across multiple engineering teams.
- Preparing, reviewing and redrafting alongside the engineering team.
- Thorough planning and organizational skills.
- Ensuring final designs are compliant with regulations.
- Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.
- Be the “go to” person for engineering drawings.
Draftsman Tooling Technician Requirements:
- Associates Degree or Technical Certification Preferred.
- 5+ years work experience as a design engineer, CAD Draftsperson, or similar title role in a part design or production environment.
- Experience in GD&T application and interpretation. Certification a plus
- Experience in CADD “computer-aided design and drafting” (SolidWorks a plus).
- Proficient in software programs such as Microsoft Office Word, and Excel.
- Ability to respond well and communicate.
- $2,500 Sign-On Bonus Offered After 90 Days of Employment
