There is a team atmosphere here at The Whittier House and the staff help each other out when needed.

The Whittier House residential home has been open for 20 years serving adults with autism and developmental disabilities. We have one residential home, and you will not be moved from home to home. The three male residents in the home have been living there for 20, 12, and 8 years. Our residents are out going and can accomplish adult daily living skills indepently and just need prompting and oversight. Our home is unique and unlike many other group homes in the area. The home and workspace environment is clean organized and well run by the homes manager who’s been running the home for 20 years. We are looking for an experienced direct support worker who can handle a consumer who can at times be behavioral but managed once you get to know him and understand his triggers. The consumer has been in the home for 20 years and is very well loved and taken care of and respected in his community and is a joy to work with. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
