Job Profile :
The Duty Manager will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Company while coordinating efforts between all relevant Teams (Commercial and Operations including MOC). Acting as a conductor who’s required to maintain an exceptional level of situational awareness on the floor, this role is empowered to make critical and key decisions as needed to guarantee the integrity of the company’s operations and customer satisfaction. The Duty Manager reports to the Senior Director of OCC.
Your Responsibilities:
Regular Daily Operations-55%
  • Act as first point of escalation for Sales, RM and AM/CS Teams for critical day-of-operations queries and requests.
  • Pro-actively identifying issues or potential issues for future flights and working with the respective OCC Teams to resolve or mitigate those issues (e.g., airport slots/operating hours, weather, TFRs, permits, crew duty/rest in connection with delays or last-minute changes)
  • Identify and frame actionable choices to Sales, RM, and AM/CS Teams during IRROP scenarios (AOGs, Sick Calls, WX Issues, etc.) utilizing creative multi-dimensional problem solving, quickly presenting recovery options and their economic impact clearly, concisely, and precisely.
  • Constant liaison with the OCC Teams to ensure that relevant information and procedures are being followed.
  • In conjunction with the CrewComm and Dispatch Teams; monitoring changes such as EDCT/CTOT, slots, diversions and ensure re-routing or re-planning is carried out swiftly and safely as necessary to achieve the best possible outcome.
  • In conjunction with FACT, continual optimization of the schedule to maximize utilization and availability:
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Control (MXC) and Maintenance Planning (MXP) to maximize aircraft utilization around scheduled maintenance events.
  • Taking ownership of high-profile flights (Demo, Sensitive or as designated on a case-by-case basis) ensuring that these flights have utmost priority and focus.
IROPS-40%
  • Communication of IROPS to impacted parties
  • Work toward solutions for IROPS events
  • Work with MX to provide updates on AOG’s
  • Work with the Tactical Desk to provide updates on Crewing events
  • Main point of contact and acting as Emergency Director for all irregular events until senior management is on site and brought up to speed
  • Works directly with Post Holders on any and all regulatory concerns brought to their attention

Travel required
This position will require some occasional Travel.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED (College degree a plus)
  • 5+ years’ experience in an SOC environment
  • Sound decision making taking all SOC workgroups & variables for any given situation
  • Experience with FOS is preferred
  • Dispatch License
  • Past employee management, employee coaching/mentoring preferred
