The Infrastructure Software Administrator utilizes Dynatrace to maintain, monitor and troubleshoot our infrastructure software environment including web, application and directory servers and integration, monitoring, and service management products. Assists in the administration of configurations, scripts and jobs. Deploys upgrades and patches as required. Assists with the evaluation of new software products. Communicates critical information to line-of-business and operations teams.

What you will do:

  • Provide guidance, informal training, and recommendations regarding use of Dynatrace for application performance analysis
  • Assist teams with onboarding to Dynatrace including configuration, automation, and training
  • Provide hands-on, administrator support for Dynatrace
  • Implement monitors, maintenance, configuration, integrity, tuning, and troubleshooting
  • Architect, Deployment, configuration, and maintenance of OneAgent, ActiveGate, Real User Monitoring (RUM) and Agentless RUM
  • Container, Cloud, and Virtual Machine monitoring via Dynatrace
  • Utilize knowledge in Application Performance Management (APM)
  • Configuration of settings for monitoring, services, log analytics, anomaly detection, integration with 3rd party services, and general preferences
  • Create dashboards and charts within the Dynatrace platform
  • Utilize visualizations and data provided from Dynatrace to deliver application and infrastructure monitoring information to technical resources
  • Use Dynatrace monitoring data to provide insight into maintenance of infrastructure and application health
  • Utilize Dynatrace artificial intelligence to identify problems and root causes
  • Analyze performance using Dynatrace

Leading candidates will have:

  • Demonstrates the ability to integrate and configure platform tools using an Infrastructure as Code mindset (automate administrator toil - engineer it away)
  • Excels in the development of integration code using Python or Java with automated build and deployment pipelines (software engineering lifecycle mindset)
  • Finds satisfaction supporting software product teams through hands-on collaboration in a devOps fashion (collaboration over isolation)
  • The ability to collaborate with staff in diagnosing and resolving issues, engaging other technical resources as needed to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Structured approach, analytical thinking, and accuracy
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred or two to four years Middleware tools administration and experience
