OVERVIEW
Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos and Airheads!) is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic e-Commerce Analyst to join our team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The e-Commerce Analyst will support e-commerce business growth strategy and execution by evaluating and providing recommendations across all Revenue Growth Management pillars. Will also support successful execution of Pure Play and eRetailer plans by providing business performance analysis of our everyday and seasonal portfolio, assisting the field team in compiling monthly forecasts. The role will work closely with the field team and customer service on issues relating to service issues. Assist in providing analytical and operations support leading to break through execution of the E-Commerce DSMP’s working with PVM cross-functional teams as well as e-retailers to deliver our plans with excellence across all key sales and ops metrics. Specific responsibilities for the role include:
- Support E-Commerce RGM strategy and execution in partnership with RGM and Sales teams. Monitor and evaluate profitability at account level. Develop promotional plans in line with eCom principles and in synergy with eRetailers, brand and account priorities. Through PPA analysis, develop recommendations for eCom portfolio to drive profitable, consumer / customer centric growth. Provide recommendations to optimize eRetailer trade structure and contracts.
- Support portfolio set up and items management. New Items Set up: confirm sellable configuration, content, images. Support retailers’ programs that help push the item live. Provide new items forecast and support new listings across various e-retailers portals. Portfolio optimization: monitor items configurations, title, cost, images, and perform/support edits to ensure accuracy and relevancy and to increase product ranking.
- Lead sales operations management. Coordinate and ensure product availability in cooperation with supply chain & operations. Monitor and provide reporting on key eRetailer inventory as needed and communicate potential risks. Partner with the Customer Service team to ensure we are up to date on customer requirements and are meeting/exceeding consumer needs and service levels.
- Collaborate with forecasting team on creating the forecasting plans and help in designing operations infrastructure to support the target numbers. Attend monthly R&O meetings representing E-Commerce and ensure capturing proper inputs from external partners monthly.
- Help develop and update DSMP Goals and progress with input from Sales, Category & Marketing. Planning and managing communication to Field Sales, Distributor and Brokers. Aligning PVM priorities and needs to brokers. Consistent communication to Sales Director, Marketing, Supply Chain and Field Sales to drive more effective sales capital knowledge in the sales process, including planning and leading Field Sales and Broker Webinars.
- Work with Field Sales and Marketing to plan for new item launches. Provide data and analytical support for sales presentations and business reviews.
- Support internal communication of brand priorities and updates clearly and timely to Field Sales and communicate forecasting requirements back to Finance and Supply Chain.
- Communicate with eRetailers on customer service and listing challenges.
- Analyze shipment history and forecast with distributor to make sure there is reasonable alignment.
- Analyze profitability and provide recommendations on trade, promotional plans and portfolio assortment.
- Work with RGM, Finance, Supply Chain and Marketing to support annual budgeting and the monthly risk and operation’s process for NSV and New Item distribution tracking.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain on Risk/Opps input and S&OP input as those processes evolve.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or other related field required
- 2 years in CPG Industry experience
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access
- Ability to analyze computer reports on sales data, forecasts, and budgets
- Excellent analytical/problem solving skills with the ability to interpret data
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Ability to work across departments and companies – Field Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Distributor
- Team player dedicated to the highest level of customer service
- Understand and work in SAP, BI and Marketing Tracker, Amazon Vendor Central
- Understand key internal/external partnerships
- Problem solving & handling complex situations in a cross functional environment
