E-Commerce Warehouse Associate
Job description
Essential/Primary Functions:
1. Unloads and loads trucks.
2. Transfers and stage products in appropriate areas across departments
3. Replenish materials throughout the duration of the shift
4. Perform quality checks and complete appropriate documentation with accuracy
5. Use an electronic scanning device to maintain inventory records. Notes errors and/or problems in shipping and receiving accordingly.
6. Packs outgoing rejected, and other outgoing goods for shipment to the outlet, and/or retail locations
7. Assist with inventory counting as needed
8. Breaks down totes, and skids, place goods in a first-in, first-out method
9. Maintain a clean and orderly dock area and follow cleaning procedures at the end of shift.
10. Interacts in a professional, positive, and factual manner.
11. Works cross-functionally with other E-Commerce teams to increase communication.
12. Safeguards agency assets from damage, loss, or theft.
13. Report incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets to supervisor and/or loss prevention.
14. Utilizes safe work practices through awareness and observation.
15. Contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard-free by removing obstructions, keeping aisles and designated walkways debris free.
16. Immediately communicate workplace incidents or accidents to on-duty member of management.
17. Reads and follows all operational procedures and agency employee handbook polices
18. Maintain a professional appearance at all times, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
19. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Position requires repetitive hand motions
- Position requires standing for extended periods of up to four hours
- Frequently bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and move up to 40 pounds.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management
- Basic math skills are required, adding, subtracting, and some multiplication
- Must be able to use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies to move product
- Walk behind forklift experience preferred
- Six months of previous material handler/warehouse preferred
- Must be able to self-direct and follow multi-complex instructions
- Must be 18 years or older
