Responsibilities


In keeping with the Dignity Health core values, perform diagnostic medical sonographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision to technical detail. Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative. Assume responsibility for specific diagnostic Echocardiographic procedures as required.


This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience in all phases of Echocardiography, including:
    • Echocardiography
    • TEE
    • ZD Doppler
    • Stress Echoprocedures
  • Current with continuing education unites required by the licensing board of American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International
  • Current AHA CPR Certification (CT CPRBLS)
  • Current ARDMS or CCI
Special Skills:
  • Well versed in both general and vascular anatomy, as well as physiology.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of (must be familiar with) all Echocardiography procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with patients, staff and physicians.
  • Work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills.
