Community Care Network – Rutland County Head Start Early Care and Education is looking for an Education Manager to join our team!

The Education Manager oversees Education (school-readiness) services for Rutland County Head Start and oversees supervision of outside classrooms.

Principal Responsibilities:
Guide educational curriculum and program planning, development and staff professional development.

Regularly observe classrooms (using monitoring tools required by program) for purposes of identifying and implementing strategies and techniques to support more effective teacher-child interactions and classroom quality. Act as a coach/mentor to teaching staff to support positive classroom interactions.

Assist classroom teachers in developing and implementing child behavioral plans and interventions.

Assist in classrooms if required due to staff absences/shortages.

Perform other assigned duties, which are necessary to the effective operations of the Head Start/Childcare Program.

What is Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

Teaching License with Early Childhood Education Endorsement

Three years prior supervisory experience in an Early Childhood setting.

Working knowledge of early education curriculum development and assessment systems (child outcomes).

Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation with personal automobile liability insurance coverage at or above the levels mandated by the State of Vermont.

• Successful completion of a criminal history background check after hire.
