The details for this position are as follows:

Job Title: EHS Specialist

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 Months

Pay: $33-35/hourly

Shift: M-F 8 am to 4 pm with possible OT

Job Title: EHS Specialist

Description Details

  • Provide Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) support of various programs including ergonomic assessments, warehouse safety, construction safety and Covid-19 Support, to ensure compliance with , Federal, State and Local, Regulations.
  • Individual should have strong verbal and written communication skills. They should exercise discretion while performing a wide variety of advanced and confidential duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of organization policies and procedures.
  • In addition, they should be Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, Also, Creative, flexible, well organized, resourceful and detail-oriented.
  • This is an in-person position and employee will be expected to report to the office everyday they work.
  • Employee should also be able to drive around various job sites supporting various projects.

Required:

  • Experience supporting EHS programs such as ergonomic assessments, warehouse safety, construction safety and Covid-19 Support,

Major responsibilities:

  • Support various aspects of Covid-19 program
  • Support EHS Programs per Global Standards, Federal and Local Regulations
  • Ergonomic assessments, warehouse safety and construction safety
  • Implementing EHS regulations, conducting incident investigations, and managing cross functional Teams.
  • Ability to actively listen, build and maintain effective working relationships and resolve conflict constructively.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
  • This position is responsible for the safety of the employees, assuring a safe working environment, protect the environment, protect the property and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor Degrees in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health, Public Health, Engineering or similar

Experience:

  • At least 4 years of combined experience managing EHS or similar programs to assure compliance with government regulations and company policies.

Years of experience/education and/or certifications required:

  • bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. - prefers Bachelor Degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Health and Safety, Public Health.
  • 4 to 6 years of combined experience managing EHS or similar programs to assure compliance with government regulations and company policies.

Skills

  • Ability to work with computers, database, and integration of information tracking systems.
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods supporting projects and completing other EHS tasks.
  • Supporting and Managing Safety Programs such as Covid-19 or similar.
  • Actively participate in the analysis of problems of the different situations presented by collecting inputs from various sources and promote discussion with various stakeholders to reach agreement on appropriate priorities establishment for the Safety, Health, and Environmental issues.
  • Basic computer skills i.e. Email, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Zoom and Teams meetings,
  • Must be able have excellent verbal and written communication in English
  • Must be ok working and walking around within office, lab, warehouse and manufacturing buildings.
  • Must be ok standing and walking as job dictates
  • Must be able to drive their own vehicle to get around Lake county- would get reimbursement for mileage.
  • Must have compassion and empathy when working with employees and others.
  • Pharma experience is nice to have

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 per hour
