SUMMARY
This position will be a part of the Data Development team with a focus on architecting, developing and optimizing relevancy initiatives on Elasticsearch for the Summit Racing web platform.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Review search strategies, make recommendations, design and implement solutions.

Troubleshoot search and relevancy discrepancies.

Design solutions to accommodate speed and high availability at scale.

Monitor performance of Elasticsearch clusters for both data ingestion and retrieval.

Designs & develops ETL/ELT processes for data integration and analysis.

Performs Ad Hoc queries, imports, and exports as required.

Monitors additional systems for normal operations including database availability, performance tuning, indexing, data/error checking, and error handling.

Makes recommendations to improve database and application design standards that will increase performance, reliability, and ease of administration.

Implements user access controls and data security measures as appropriate.

Works with development team to resolve issues, examines risks & enforces design patterns.

Tracks status & communicates progress effectively to project management.

Works both independently and as a member of a team.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent experience.
3+ years relational database development or administration (MSSQL preferred)
2+ years developing or architecting with Elasticsearch in an Enterprise Search environment.
2+ years developing with .Net or Python is a plus.
Experience with AI/ML a plus.
This position is able to be a remote work from home position. Must live in Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, Tennessee or Texas to be considered.
