Essential Functions*:

  • Plans, lays out, draws, and revises part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, discussions with engineers, and standard data.
  • Utilizes computer-aided design equipment.
  • Completes layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices or may develop complete major layouts of engineering drawings.
  • Within parameters determines the scaling required.

Position Requirements*:

  • Associate Degree** in Electrical Drafting or equivalent related experience.
  • Minimum three years of recent related experience including AutoCAD Electrial.
  • Two years of working knowledge of electrical circuitry and design experience.
  • ADDA Certified Drafter or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and ability to apply NFPA 70E.
  • Knowledge of connectors, wire types, heat shrink shrouds, and other common components of electrical cables preferred.
  • Experience working with electrical engineers on wire connection lists, pin out tables, schematics, and similar documents in the process of designing and drawing electrical cable preferred.
  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required
  • This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
  • This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
