BlackRock Resources is currently hiring an Electrical Engineer for our client in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

Required Skills

  • BS Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent years of experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the electrical or electro-mechanical engineering field
  • Familiarity with low voltage power distribution equipment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required up to 10%
  • Experience with electrical theory in DC and three-phase AC power distribution
  • Experience with mechanical design a plus
  • Experience using AutoCAD, Inventor and/or the VAULT
  • Experience with an ERP system – Syteline Preferred
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer satisfaction including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of project management processes and principles
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing methodologies and techniques

The Electrical Engineer 2 provides electrical engineering support for the commercialization, application, and customization of all products; works under moderate supervision with problem-solving responsibility while working under defined guidelines.

  • Conceptualize and implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) / Test (DFT) / Assembly (DFA)
  • Support the engineering team with the reconfiguration, customization and manufacturing of designed products
  • Perform electrical engineering design tasks and provide feedback in support of customer specific customizations of products
  • Generate and/or assist in the creation of technical documentation such as drawings, O&M Manuals, installation instructions, work instructions and product catalogs
  • Support the integration of 3rd party products with product offerings
  • Assist with testing, verifying product performance, system integration and compliance with applicable standards
  • Partner with Production, Quality, and Purchasing staff to assure product manufacturability
  • Help to support improvements to engineering information systems to ensure high quality engineering information is provided to production and other customers of this information
  • Support the automation of design tasks
  • Provide guidance to Drafters to support project goals
  • Check the work of others, including Drafters and Engineers
  • Jobsite support
  • Collaborate with certification laboratories such as UL, CSA and Intertek (ETL) as well as various international agencies
  • Provide lab testing support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $82,500.00 per year
