Our client is a locally owned and highly respected engineering company in Austin that is looking to add an Electrical Engineer PE or experienced EIT with MEP design experience to their growing team. This is a FT, Direct Hire position at an outstanding company in a great location with generous compensation, benefit, bonus/401K, and PTO programs. More details about the position are below. JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Perform electrical power and lighting analysis, design, and calculations for a variety of building types (commercial, municipal, industrial, multifamily, etc.) using programs that include AutoCAD and Revit
• Assist in project management responsibilities and/or have sole project management responsibilities, depending on experience
• Assist in the preparation of estimates and proposal submittals, along with any required project documentation
• Maintain and organize all electrical engineering related documents and schedules, along with any associated general project documents
• Provide review of electrical design submittals and go into the field as needed to address any issues, conflicts, questions that may arise
• Generate and present project status updates as needed to a variety of internal and external audiences

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have minimum Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Structural / Architectural Engineering along with at least 5 years of electrical design experience
• PE certification preferred but will consider experienced EIT’s on path to PE
• Previous work in AutoCAD and Revit is required
• Electrical design experience for commercial, multifamily, educational, health care and/or institutional buildings
• Ability to understand and interpret internal and external construction, shop and design drawings
• Must have excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with a range of people from subcontractors to project owners

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
