Position Summary
The Enterprise Solutions Architect's responsibilities include improving the current IT infrastructure, optimizing business operations, and setting the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs. The Enterprise Solutions Architect is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, maintaining, and enforcing overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the organization's business and technology activities. To be successful as a principal engineer/ architect, you should have excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills. You should also have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
- Leverage expertise in broad disciplines to define future state and drive execution
- Control standards, architect and process with regards to the overall application
- Develop high-level business and applications architectures that depict the current and target architecture of aspects of the application portfolio
- Create roadmaps that prescribe a stepwise path to the target architecture
- Define high level costs, benefits and schedule estimates associated to the roadmap
- Interface across multiple business areas to coordinate deliverables, build consensus and influence outcomes
- Resolve conflicting business requirements through enterprise perspective
- Consult on highly complex projects requiring in-depth knowledge across multiple business areas
- Shape the design architecture based on strategic business and operating models
- Provide leadership and directly participates in the development of principles, strategies, frameworks, and standards
- Ensure compliance of principles, strategies, frameworks, security and standards across the enterprise
- Monitor and report on project compliance and alignment to overall strategy
- Liaise with engineers and technology experts to ascertain system functional capacity, constraints, and support lifecycles
- Create proof of concepts using established cloud engineering patterns
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, engineering, or related field required
- Eight (8) years of development, implementation, or maintenance of large-scale systems across multiple hardware and software platforms
- Three (3) years of experience in the Role of an Enterprise/Solutions Architect preferably in a Healthcare company
- Three years (3) of experience in a high growth company using cutting edge cloud-based technologies
- Expertise in process modeling, analysis and decomposition, rule definition and management, process performance analysis and measurement.
- Three (3) years of experience driving cloud-based architectures (AWS Preferred)
- In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture standards and the demonstrated ability to advocate and enforce their use
- Critical and practical thinking - ability to balance financial, architectural, business and IT objectives
- Command in all major architectural domains (application, information, technology infrastructure, integration, business) but specific emphasis on the application domain
- Knowledge and understanding of prevailing development methodologies
- Five (5) years of experience in common application development frameworks (Java/J2EE)
- Five (5) years’ experience developing and modeling within different database engines: MySQL and SQL Server preferred
- Solid command of common architectures (web, client-server, real-time integration, SOA, BPM)
- Integral experience with business projects in determining and driving process, technology, and organizational changes/impacts
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to apply business judgment to complex problems and make decisions
- Knowledge and understanding of the business implications of introducing (or displacing) solutions
- Eight (8) years of experience with driving product selection and evaluation; build vs. buy concept
- Strong understanding of data/information architecture concepts and patterns
- Broad-based knowledge of the IT industry and trends
- Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination
- Relationship skills and collaborative style to enable success
- Time management to ensure project or non-project related deliverables are completed in a timely fashion
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Effective collaboration skills with ability to interface with all levels of management and staff
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentation
