Now hiring a Cook/ Kitchen Staff person to join our team at Abraxas South Mountain Youth Center in PA. - starting pay is $18.00 per hour and includes a $2,000 sign on bonus!
Abraxas South Mountain is located in Franklin County on Pennsylvania Route 233 near Waynesboro and Chambersburg and is surrounded by the rolling hills and beautiful woodlands of south-central Pennsylvania's Michaux State Forest.
Salary: $18.00 per hour
Bonus (if applicable): $2,000
Shift: Combination of Day/Early Evening hours, includes weekends

As a Cook/Kitchen Staff member you will prepare large quantities of a variety of food. You will use various methods of cooking and seasoning and adhere to proper preparation methods.
In this role, you will:
Cook food as directed in the operational menu plan for the facility food service operation.
Direct work, provide training and perform inspection of work performed by other food staff.
Prepare meals according to scheduling and sanitation standards. Ensure quality assurance of all food and supplies.
Ensure adherence to special diets and allergen lists.
Responsible for placing orders for food and supplies as assigned by management. Check in deliveries and take inventory of food and supplies as required.
Ensure sanitation and safety of program is actively practiced in all areas of the department.
What we require:
- Some experience preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Criminal Clearances and non-communicable disease physical exam and drug screen.
