Job Description

Position Overview: FT role, Monday - Friday ; Candidate will sit in one of our Sales Centers and travel will be required to our Southern New England Territories: Hartford, CT, Naugatuck, CT, Providence, RI, Waterford, CT, Cape Cod and Greenfield, MA.


Coca-Cola Beverage Northeast is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative and analytical EHS Specialist to join our team.

The EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting and driving execution of employee environmental, health and safety (EHS) programs at facility level. In this position, the EHS Specialist will partner with facility Management and the Corporate Safety team to implement behavioral based safety programs, to ensure compliance with company policies as well as federal, state and local regulations, and to identify potential EHS hazards that require further review.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform EHS audits within all company facilities annually and report results to leadership
  • Partner with local management team to implement corrective actions identified during EHS audits and / or other safety related investigations
  • Coordinate safety investigations and complete appropriate documentation to determine accident classification and corrective action needed
  • Interact with and support regulations put in place by governmental agencies such as EPA, OSHA and DOT
  • Drive consistent safety message throughout all levels of the company organization
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; degree in Environmental Engineering or Safety desirable
  • 3 – 7 years of relevant work experience required
  • 50 – 75% travel required
  • Prior work in a manufacturing, distribution or consumer products industry preferred
  • Combination of minimum / preferred work experience and some education will be considered
  • Knowledge of safety practices and programs used in the reduction or elimination of workplace hazards
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, to clearly articulate relevant ideas, opinions and information, and to break down complex technical information for target audiences
  • Ability to work independently, handle time pressures, and ensure timely completion of designated objectives
