Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of 9 laboratories servicing air, water, soil, tobacco, and toxicity testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.

Our El Dorado Hills, CA facility is currently seeking a Full-Time Lab Technician to join our team.

Compensation: $16.00 - $19.00/hour

Shift hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm or 8am - 5pm

As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

Preparing samples for digestion or extraction as needed. Includes but is not limited to: weighing soils, making composites, crushing samples, incremental sampling, & product sampling.
Washing glassware
Preparing reagents as needed
Conducting simple water quality assays
Data entry
Facility housekeeping/maintenance
Perform support tasks as needed
Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies
Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan
Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Lab Director

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Basic laboratory techniques, including knowledge of PPE, use of balance, pipetting, & glassware handling
Basic Excel skills required
Must have ability to follow directions and work in a team setting
Must be comfortable working with strong acids and solvents
Excellent communication skills required
Detail oriented

High School Diploma

PREFERRED SKILLS-

Prior Laboratory experience preferred but not required as this is an entry level position
Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
Ability to work independently and in a team
Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
