The Equipment Technician position repairs and maintains hot and cold side food service equipment; refrigerators, air conditioners, coolers, freezers, broilers, fryers, etc. as well as making miscellaneous minor facilities repairs for a quick service restaurant company D/B/A ‘Burger King’ restaurants.

The organized and motivated technician that has a positive attitude and the ability to access and resolve multiple competing priorities. The technician works under the direction of the Director of Maintenance and Facilities.

The selected candidate will be responsible for all areas of field service repair.

The candidate will leave from home each day and travel from site to site maintaining and repairing equipment, making sure the overall equipment repair needs of each restaurant are met.

As a Commercial Kitchen Service Technician, responsibilities include but are not limited to adjusting, aligning, assembling, calibrating, inspecting, lubricating, and testing commercial food preparation equipment, electrical/mechanical and electronics troubleshooting; will work out solutions in the best interest of the customer; will be responsible for vehicle inventory and appearance; will need to satisfactorily complete company field training.

  • The candidate will comply with all applicable service policies and procedures, maintain frequent contact with the office to receive service assignments, and review service problems with the advisor, or manager. Must be available for overtime and on-call schedule.
  • To be considered for this opportunity candidate must have at least the following:
  • Accredited High School diploma, Business or trade school, or GED.
  • Good mechanical/electrical/electronic aptitude.
  • Ability to learn new technology and repair and follow service procedures and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and ability to drive multiple hours per day.
  • Able to travel occasionally and attend training classes.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Lifting 50-75 lbs with or without assistance
  • Climbing up to 8 ft with a ladder
  • Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet conditions
  • OT is available and sometimes required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • EPA Certification
