What we are looking for:
Carolina Animal Specialty and Emergency in Hickory, NC is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our rapidly growing specialty and emergency practice. CASE is a multi-specialty practice with specialists in internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, and 24-hour emergency and critical care. They are supported by our highly trained and compassionate team of technicians, assistants, and client service representatives. We currently have an opening on our emergency service for a veterinary technician (registered preferred but will consider experience level as well).
Here is What Your Day Might Consist of:

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Processing laboratory procedures

• Placing IV catheters and drawing blood

• Monitor and perform routine treatments on hospital patients

• Assisting doctors and nurses in the exam rooms

• Monitor surgical procedures

• Collect and prepare samples for in house labs

• Greeting clients and patients

Here is the Experience You Will Bring to the Job:

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Registered preferred but will consider experience level as well

• Minimum 2 years of previous experience required

• Highly skilled in veterinary technology

• Proficient in patient triage, emergency, and critical care nursing

• Strong work ethic

• Passion driven

• Superb written, verbal, and oral communication

• Able to work rotating weekends and holidays
