Job Description
The ERP QA Analyst is responsible for configuring NetSuite while also serving as a business analyst that supports solving data and technical issues across the organization. This role reports to the Network Systems Administrator. This candidate is detail oriented and consistently supports the business by finding resolutions and gathering feedback. They possess strong communication and organizational skills with an aptitude for learning quickly and effectively. They must be flexible, highly self-motivated, and be able to anticipate the needs of both individuals and the organization and improve the system/processes that support the entire organization.
Responsibilities
Overall duties include, but are not limited to:
- Resolve NetSuite-focused help desk cases and monitor company communication medium for defects/break-fix and respond accordingly
- Create and execute QA test plans by documenting and performing thorough testing, including functionality, stability, performance, interface, documentation, and other types of testing
- Support the conducting and documentation of unit testing, system integration testing, user acceptance testing while identifying, analyzing, and documenting defects and inconsistencies
- Complete regression/verification testing as needed. Monitor application performance after development release to detect recurrence of operating problems and verify continued functionality
- Coordinate between VTA partners and VTA Staff on break fix, change request and pain point issues
- Assist the team in tracking down issues and working out the steps to reproduce so that they are easier to locate and fix. Identify and document defects and/or processes in a clear and concise manner
- Work with users across the organization to solve data and technical issues
- Work with internal teams to manage configuration changes to fields, workflows, roles/permissions, page layouts, custom objects, custom record types
- Day-to-day administration, configuration, operation, and customization of NetSuite systems in a complex and evolving environment
- Serve as business analyst to elicit requirements from end users and suggest/implement changes to existing processes.
- Develop, create, and maintain customized reports, save searches and dashboards for designated users and roles in NetSuite
- Recommend, create, and manage customizations and enhancements in NetSuite
- Create and maintain documentation of system and business processes
- Assist in the compiling, analysis, and cleanup of data to preserve data integrity
- Manage/track project development tasks and topics through software development stages (Jira Software)
Education & Skills
Required
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of NetSuite (certification is a plus) and its related modules including hands-on implementation, integration, customization, support, data migration, SuiteScript/JavaScript, SuiteFlow, and overall optimization experience
- Experience with project or ticket management systems a must (Jira Software experience preferred)
- Aptitude for comprehending technical documentation
- Proven problem-solving, analytical, and investigative skills
- Proficient with MS Office - Experience manipulating data in Excel or similar
- Good organizational, time management skills with sharp attention to detail
- Strong ability to self-organize and work through issues independently and as a team
- Highly self-motivated and directed by being a great team player with integrity and a strong work ethic
- Excellent written/spoken English communication skills
- Aptitude to learn quickly and effectively
- Ability to follow instructions and accomplish tasks as directed
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
