Job Summary:

Develop cost and lead-time estimates on aircraft details, components, sub-assemblies, major structures, and aerospace projects using estimating software, blueprints, 3D models, parts lists, and historical data. Interface with other departments for manufacturability and tooling requirements and concepts. Use ALIGN Precision’s ERP system for analysis and evaluations. Serve as estimating interface with customers.

• Must be comfortable communicating with outside customers.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills required (Outlook, Excel, Work, etc.)
• Comfortable using 3D software such as AutoCAD or equivalent.
• Ability to become familiar with multiple customer specifications and requirements.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of machining and sheet metal manufacturing process.
• Ability to interpret standard drawing tolerances and GD&T callouts.
• Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to get along with co-workers, peer’s, and other departments.
• Understand and obey safety requirements.
• Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Able to understand and communicate in English.

Preferred education and experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred. Equivalent experience or some vocational schooling will be considered.

3-5 years work experience , preferably two plus years of manufacturing engineering experience in the Aerospace Industry.
