HWH is seeking an Estimator to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY: The Estimator is responsible for assisting the estimating department, including, but not limited to pre-bid meeting attendance, preconstruction services, plan and specification procurement and reviews, posting project for bidding, quantity take offs, summary top sheets, assist with directions and coordinating activities of the designated estimate to ensure that goals or objectives of the estimate and the company are accomplished timely, efficiently and within company guidelines.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to managing plan & spec printing and scanning for all companies and manage archiving for all HWH projects.

STARTING PAYRATE: Harrison, Walker & Harper has an effective method for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.

The salary range for this skill is: $65,000 - 80,000 (negotiable depending on experience)

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Assists and executes estimating work plan to include: estimate preparation & set up, coordination of bidding activities, coordination of internal review meetings, posting of plans and specifications to the HWH Plan Room and/or ISQFT.
• Assists Estimators in Coordination & Solicitation of quotes from vendors and subcontractors. Place advertisements for bid.
• Reviews and understands plans, specifications with the ability to establish complete and proper scopes, recognize conflicts or problems to provide complete and accurate estimate.
• Performs quantity take offs and provide accurate scopes, counts and quantities.
• Processes addenda and answers to questions and passes the information along to the subcontractors, during the bidding process.
• Bid Evaluation Skills – (Assist with and Finalize Bid Tabulation Sheets & Estimate Assembly)
• Works with limited information to provide conceptual estimates.
• Assists in creation of Supplemental Instructions to Bidders and Work Categories based upon project specific requirements.
• Assists with scheduling and conducting pre-bid meetings for CMAR Projects and/or Special Projects. (Includes the ability to establish pre-bid meeting agendas.)
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university preferred and one to two years related experience and/or training.

Knowledge of General Construction preferred.
