Chelsea Lighting is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Estimator to join our team of lighting and controls distribution professionals. This position will be domiciled in our Pennsylvania office and will have the opportunity to work on projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region and National Accounts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of lighting or construction management estimating is required.
• Four-year college degree preferred.
• Ability to be thorough in your work, accuracy is a necessity, meet deadlines, and successfully work in a demanding environment.
• Strong time management, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and utilize these skills in a multi-tasking environment.
• Experience interpreting construction drawings, specifications, architectural sketches and other related construction documents including detailed take-offs.
• Knowledgeable in OnScreen Takeoff software.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).
• Knowledge of Teams and Smartsheet a plus.
• Strong quantitative and analytical math skills.
• Superior time management and organizational skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review all bid requests:
• Prepare bid packages and estimates based on customer’s bill of material.
• Prepare take-offs and conduct a detailed count of lighting fixtures as shown on the drawings.
• Review due date feasibility and/or discuss a date of completion with the client.
• Review bid documents and prepare appropriate qualifications.
• Evaluate accuracy of vendors’ quotes.
• Identify and perform value engineering opportunities and proposals.
• Develop vendor relationships and product knowledge.
• Prepare reports: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or as required.
• Enter product pricing into quote software (OASIS).
• Analyze job being quoted and develop strategies for client proposals.
• Organize project files once they have been submitted to the customer.
• Conduct analysis of peer‘s estimates for accuracy and completeness.
• Execute ad-hoc assignments as directed by senior management.
