Position Overview:
The Executive Administrative Assistant I plays an invaluable support role in the daily functions and operations of the Registrar’s Office and the Office for Academic and Pre-Professional Advising. Reporting to both the Assistant Vice Provost for Academic Advising and Student Success and the Registrar, the incumbent handles a large range of administrative responsibilities.

Telework:

A hybrid telework schedule may be available.



Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Primary P-Card and D-card user for both departments
  • Schedules meetings for both supervisors
  • Prepares reports for and assists in analysis of quarterly budget reviews
  • Assists with payroll/personnel processes
  • Oversees office operations and ensures that equipment, materials and space are used efficiently and effectively
  • Provides direct administrative coordination for UMBC/UMB School of Pharmaceutical Science Summer Internship Program
  • Arrange and manage travel arrangements and expenditures
  • Backup for EM Payroll and other administrative tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Four years secretarial experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of and skill in the application of office practices, procedures and equipment
  • General knowledge of and skill in the use of word processing, database and spreadsheet software to produce documents and maintain information

Note: Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
