What will you do as a Executive Director?

  • On site executive for all operations, acting as contact for all staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies and the public.
  • Supervises, directs, and motivates all department directors, supervisors and staff. Maintains training and morale.
  • Maintains high degree of resident satisfaction through consistent delivery of high-quality services.
  • Leads the development and implementation of all sales and operations strategies and tactics for the community consistent with Cadence Senior Living's objectives.
  • Understand the community's care regulations and support the resident care program by regularly meeting with the Resident Services Director to discuss and address concerns of the department.
  • Executes renewal - retention program with existing residents through a proactive program with the highest renewal rate possible.
  • Manages budget and cash flow, maintain budget accountability, aggressively anticipate and minimize negative budget variances and deficits.
  • Provides leadership for staff and residents; pro-actively solves problems and issues.
  • Acts as main property contact for a Cadence Senior Living corporate staff, maintaining positive relationships.
  • Maintains current departmental policies, procedures and licenses, in accordance with company, Federal, State and local requirements.
  • Reviews hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions and termination of employment of employees with attention paid to consistency in the selection and retention of quality personnel.
  • Maintains buildings, grounds and property through the oversight of preventative maintenance systems and programs, and frequent inspections

If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:

  • Positive team player attitude and love working with people!
  • Must be a Licensed Administrator (if required by state regulations) in good standing and/or meet all applicable federal and state license requirements.
  • 5+ years' experience in retirement housing, hospitality, health care management or other related fields.
  • Successful history of building teams and meeting financial goals.
  • Knowledge of various computer systems, particularly Excel and Word.
  • High degree of accuracy in all assignments; ability to manage time effectively, work with numerous interruptions.
  • Strong in initiative, good judgment; employs professional ethics; has a pleasant manner, good communication skills and the ability to motivate.
  • Capacity to work evenings and/or weekends, and on call 24/7.
  • Must possess valid driver's license.
  • Capability to become licensed as an administrator for assisted living within a prescribed timeframe in states requiring such a license. Previous experience working in Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience a plus!
