Position Description: Exercise Physiologist

The Exercise Physiologist responsibilities include:

• Serves as a member of the rehab team engaged in performing cardio-pulmonary services.

• Demonstrate competence in the development and leadership of exercise programs for cardio-pulmonary patients.

• Evaluate and supervise the patients and remain current in approaches, exercise prescription and treatment of the cardio-pulmonary patient.

• Act as a preceptor for exercise interns and provide education to the staff and patients in the area of expertise.

Requirements:

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACSM (Sports Medicine) Preferred

• ACLS (Cardiovascular) Preferred

Education:

• Bachelor's Exercise Physiologist

• Or Bachelor's Related Field

• Master's Exercise Physiology Preferred

Experience:

• 1 year Internship Preferred

• 2 Years Cardiac Rehab Preferred
