Springs Veterinary Care is a full-service veterinary hospital located in the heart of the Hill Country in Dripping Springs, TX. We are dedicated to exceeding client expectations in the care of their pet. We are cat and dog exclusive with all the bells and whistles and do our best to always offer the highest standard of care. You will be responsible for concierge-style customer service and impeccable patient care, working alongside with our receptionists and veterinarians to provide our clients and patients with excellent veterinary experiences in a loving and welcoming environment.

Our hours of operation consist of Monday-Friday 7:30am- 5:30pm, Saturday 8am-12pm and closed on Sundays.

We are seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our talented team!

Our Ideal Candidate:

- Effective communication with both clients & team

- Passion for animals and veterinary medicine!

- Safe handling & restraint of animals

- Administer medications by mouth

- General housekeeping duties

- Tech appointments: Vaccines, nail trims, AGE, ear cleaning, , etc…

- Interpreting Veterinarian orders and our protocols to work autonomously and educate clients

- Management of stocking inventory and equipment

Preferred Qualifications:

- 1+ years of small animal experience

Job Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED required

- Minimum requirement of 1 year of small animal tech experience (current coursework may replace)

- Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians and other hospital staff. (It’s okay if you talk to animals, too!)

- Pleasant presence on the phone and great phone etiquette are necessary

- Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds

- Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases
