Principal Purpose of Job

The Facilities and Maintenance Technician will ensure the proper upkeep of all facilities and grounds as well as maintenance of all equipment and related projects. The technician will be the key role when any critical system or line is in jeopardy of being down and will work tirelessly to help keep the production facility running efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance programs for the grounds, buildings and equipment
  • Assist with all new equipment installations as well as retrofit projects
  • Assist with all scheduled and unscheduled repairs with direct involvement and delegation to team members
  • Repair electrical, pneumatics, hydraulic and mechanical systems as necessary
  • Appropriately coordinate with outsourced repairs and projects as necessary while focusing on internal resources first
  • Ensure all equipment is safe and continually audited for safety and current OSHA standards
  • Enter CMMS information to ensure maintenance plans are documented properly as well as critical inventories are maintained for maximum production and facility efficiency

Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • 4-year degree or trade school certificate preferred, but equivalent experience considered
  • 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing environment, and all experience must be in the areas of facility maintenance, machine maintenance and repair and equipment installation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of both high-voltage 3-phase electrical system and low voltage systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of automation systems including PLC, Microcontrollers, relays, and controller
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Good Interpersonal skills needed; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter, motivated, energetic.
  • Strong knowledge of safety in the workplace
  • Intermediate technology and computer skills
  • Dexterity, physical strength, and physical stamina

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to frequently lift components weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally lift components weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to see details at close range to detect defects
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
