This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The full-time Facilities - Director is responsible for directing the maintenance and improvement operations of YMCA facilities in the District assigned.

1. Preferred bachelor’s degree in facility management or equivalent experience

2. Three or more years experience in facility management or closely related field.

3. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry, and other m aintenance-

related areas.

4. Skills in supervision and project management.

5. Ability and current license to drive that meets YMCA standards.

6. Ability to track projects and progress using specific facility software.

7. Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.

1. Provides overall coordination of Center maintenance, including planning and overseeing preventative

maintenance.

2. Ensure the proper operation of all mechanical systems at Centers.

3. Completes repair work and projects in a timely manner. Oversee all contractors that work in the

f acility and grounds. May request and review bids, and recommend selection of contractors.

4. Works with outside agencies such as fire, health, building departments to ensure compliance with all

local, state and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds.

5. May assist in developing budgets supporting the preventative and annual maintenance plans and monitors

expenditures against budget.

6. Works closely with Center Directors to direct part-time Property Coordinators at select centers.

7. P articipates with other members of management in Annual Campaign.

8. Advises management on maintenance issues and projects as requested.

9. Updates facility plans periodically. May develop annual plan of capital projects, consistent with the YMCA’s s trategic p lan and community needs.

10. Position will work at multiple Centers in the Association.

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.
• CPO or equivalent certification required within 120 days of employment.

WORK SCHEDULE:

The schedule for this full-time position is generally Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, though overtime, evenings, and weekend work may be required depending on the business need.
