LSG Sky Chefs has over 75 years of Catering experience and is the world’s leading provider of end-to-end on-board airline products and services. These include catering, on-board retail and entertainment, on-board equipment and logistics, consulting and lounge services.

Our successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, auditing, assessing and training of facilities systems within the responsible Customer Service Center (CSC).

Main Accountabilities

  • Oversee kitchen design and construction project management at assigned CSC
  • Validate all facility, equipment/repair and maintenance capital requests to ensure deadlines and standards are met
  • Build and manage relationships with vendors ensuring vendor compliance
  • Understand permit processes and work closely with Port Authority on all projects
  • Work closely with maintenance personnel to manage trucks and all maintenance with vendor
  • Ensure buildings are properly maintained and meet United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) standards
  • Conduct site assessments for engineering services, projects, emergencies, insurance requirements and other needs
  • Support CSC leadership as a technical resource
  • Conduct local vendor audits
  • Perform and document periodical and random checks on products and services to ensure quality standards are met
  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
  • Guide, motivate and develop the subordinate employees within the Human Resources Policy
  • Participates in coaching the expanded Global Performance System (GPS) process, as well as additional career development activities to enhance the effectiveness and potential of the team
  • Make the company's values and management principles live in the department(s)
  • Plan / Implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility; initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
  • Participate and support company sponsored initiatives such as Global Quality Standards (GQS), HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or technical related field preferred
  • Five to seven years of experience in engineering, maintenance, process improvements, food and/or manufacturing environment, equipment and regulations required
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience required
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) experience in construction strongly desired
  • Good understanding of governmental regulations, permitting process, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) State and Local regulations, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations
  • Ability to oversee CapEx projects
  • Application of engineering principles and knowledge of maintenance protocols
  • Good understanding of storm water pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) requirements and equipment handling procedures
  • Knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) preferred
  • Proven analytical and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills required combines with an aptitude for multi-tasking; ability to interact at senior levels
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows based computer applications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
