About Us:
The Children's Center, a non-profit agency, is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young children, one family at a time. Our mission is to nurture and educate children and their families. We provide opportunities for education, parenting support and resources to families in our communities.
The Children's Center Head Start/Early Head Start is a federally funded program that provides no cost services to qualifying families who reside in the community. Comprehensive services are provided to pregnant women and their partners and children from birth to 5. Child development, health and family services are provided through a variety of program options designed to meet the needs of low-income and at-risk families.
About the Job:
The Children’s Center is looking for highly motivated individuals to join our family services team! Our home visiting program provides high-quality comprehensive home-based learning experiences which support the home visiting curriculum and promote children's progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five.
Our Family Advocates...
- Implement our home visiting curriculum
- Advocate for children and families
- Establish trusting relationships with families and believe the parent is the child's best teacher
- Conducts monthly and weekly home visits
- Plan activities that focus on the promotion of secure parent-child relationships and help parents take advantage of the learning experiences available to young children throughout day-to-day routines
We are most interested in applicants who…
- Have 1-3 years of experience working in a Head Start program or working with families in a social work environment
- Have CPR/First Aid training
- Flexibility with work hours and scheduling
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a Head Start program or working in a social work or family services environment
- Must have a bachelor's degree or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or a related field.
- Must demonstrate competency to plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum and promote children's progress across the standards described in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, including children with disabilities and dual language learners.
- Valid Driver's License
