Family Education Group Facilitator - FLC – Part-time
Job description
Position location: Family Learning Center (Located at Cove Behavioral Health Campus)
Part-Time - Non-Exempt
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
DUTIES:
- Plan and deliver parent-child developmental playgroups and support groups according to program guidelines. This would include but not be limited to:
- preparing for groups,
- providing a warm and welcoming environment for participations,
- facilitating the playgroup experience in line with program expectations, and
- cleaning up after group
- Assist in the facilitation of the Nurturing Parenting Program.
- Maintain accurate and timely records.
- Attend staff meetings, on-going in-service training and reflective supervision as required.
- Participate in data collection and reporting, as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in social/behavioral sciences, education or related field.
- At least five years of relevant experience. Experience may substitute for Bachelor’s Degree.
- Be available to teach classes during non-traditional hours such as evening and weekends.
- Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, kneel, bend, reach, and manipulate objects; move materials up to 10lbs on a regular basis; infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Must be sensitive to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the population that Champions for Children serves.
- Must have a reliable car, active auto insurance and valid driver’s license.
- Must successfully complete a Level 2 background check and drug screen.
