URGENT: We are hiring for a qualified Family Practice Physician (MD/DO) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our veterans and their families at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Force and Family Medicine Clinic, at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Virginia Beach, VA.

• Status: Independent Contractor
• Compensation: This is a salaried position.
• Schedule: Services shall be provided Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. for forty (40) hours per week. The clinic is closed on all Federal holidays.

The Family Practice Physician (MD/DO) must have the following qualifications

• Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience within the preceding two (2) years
• Obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification prior to contract start and maintain according to ACLS guidelines.
• Provide two (2) letters of recommendation written within the last two (2) years attesting to the healthcare worker’s clinical skills. A minimum of one (1) of the letters must be from a supervisor. The other letter must be from either clinic or hospital administrators, or practicing physicians. Reference letters shall attest to the quality and quantity of experience including, but not limited to, the communication skills between practitioner and patient and among peers, and must include name, title, phone number, date of reference, address and signature of the individual providing reference.

Due to contractual obligations with the DoD, Health Care Workers performing under this contract must either be a U.S. citizen, or as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, either a noncitizen national of the United States, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or alien authorized to work in the United States.
