Your Impact:
Under general supervision of the Federal Service Center Manager, the Federal Service Center Representative delivers tier one employee support on various HR subject matters. The individual responds to employee inquiries and leadership requests, identifies issues and escalates as appropriate. The Federal Service Center Representative provides assistance with HR related inquires, transactional processes, and HR systems to employees, HR Delivery and Centers of Excellence (COE) using Global People Services (ServiceNow). The Federal Service Center Representative monitors and responds to cases in Global People Services providing accurate, reliable and timely response to internal and external customers. This position is responsible for performing duties with minimal supervision and a high degree of accuracy with superior customer service results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handling and coordination of all aspects of the employee life-cycle such as hiring, terminations, pay changes and transfers.
- Addressing a wide range of employee questions in a timely and complete manner.
- Process changes in the HRIS to include all phases of the employee lifecycle.
- Processes transactional and operational data activities.
- Respond to and resolve inbound cases, calls and emails from employees and external customers.
- Be able to understand and apply HR policies and procedures that cover multiple HR areas.
- Maintains confidentiality of department and employee information according to established practices.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Successfully performing to metrics and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), where applicable.
- Performs other duties and tasks, as required.
- Promote a self-service environment by assisting employees to access information in the GPS articles.
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by routinely raising process and knowledge base suggestions
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience
- 2-4 years related experience required; preferably in Human Resources
- 2 years customer service experience; preferably in Human Resources
- Solid understanding of various software/hardware
- Possesses strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work well across teams
Physical Requirements of Position: Position will require heavy use of computing systems. Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.
Work Environment: Generally an office. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). Needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of management. No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions. Work site is in Tullahoma, TN. Limited travel will be required, up to 10% of the time.
Equipment and Machines: Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work-related tools as required.
Attendance: Regular hours will be Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.
Other Essential Functions: Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management, and co-workers. Must have clear, concise, and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer’s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion. Must take and pass a drug test and background check. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be willing to travel as needed.
